LESLYE CHANG

My name is Leslye Chang and I’m a Graphic Designer and Illustrator based in Queens,

New York. Graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA and I’m currently working as a freelance and on-site graphic designer. Throughout the years I have honed my creativity and skills, making it into a full-time career. I’m passionate about creating, brainstorming, and learning! My work is mostly digital with occasional painting and experimentation with mediums like pen and ink. I’m fan of maximalism and fashion.

My style often features strong line work

and an eye for detail. I enjoy playing with typography mixing in with my illustrations. I am inspired by 70’s retro graphic designs, psychedelic art styles and those old school vintage rock posters. My influence comes from women, fashion, music and nature. I have created artwork that has been displayed on the walls of FIT and on their social media outlets. My uplifting and colorful work is a gentle reminder that you can find fun and playfulness in everyday life.

PACKAGING DESIGN

Packaging designs for the new legal cannabis market. Each design is based on a different strain: Indica, Hybrid, and Sativa. The packaging could be showcased through online wholesale suppliers for dispensary head shops and smoke shops.

EVENT DESIGN

Free Crib NYC is a social group supporting NYC-based artist and communities. Their mission is to promote creativity and to inspire passion and appreciation for art and culture. Organizing this event has been very special to me especially being able to provide a space to LGBTQ/POC artists. Free Crib NYC allows artists to profit from their artwork in their events and have the freedom to communicate ideas through their art.

Logo design for mobile auto detailing company based in Queens, New York. Door2Door offers hand wash, waxing, polishing, paint correction, ceramic coating, interior - exterior detailing, leather treatment, tints, wraps and many more. Client wanted a simple yet eye catching logo.

The International Institute for the Brain (iBrain) is an independent, not-for-profit educational organization focused on students with brain injuries and brain-based disorders based in New York City and Washington D.C.
